Tassie to Australia - 2007 |
|
During August 2007 13 membres and partners from our club travelled to Melbourne to be the guests of the Endeavour Hills Rotary Club. Friday night was a night to go to the footy at the MCG.
The next morning we were collected by a coach and taken to the Endeavour Hills area to view the new ShelterBox headquarters and office. From there we travelled thrugh the beautiful Dandenong Ranges to our accommodation at "The Alpine Retreat Hotel" in Warburton. An excellent night of fun and fellowship was had by all in attendance. During the dinner many presentations were presented.
The next day we travelled to the Yarra Valley Region where we sampled some of the finest produce the area provides. On the way back to Melbourne we visited a small town for shopping and lunch.
What a weekend this turned out to be. The happy group Coops explaining what might happen Morning tea in the Dandenongs 1st shopping experience They will not be missed Tasmanians are not the only ones with 2 heads The President needed a chair to be seen The Alpine Retreat Hotel Enjoying more food and wine
