On Saturday morning members and partners of the Endeavour Hills Rotary Club arrived at the Launceston Airport for the "Pot Lock Tour of Tassie" as part of our annual weekend of FUN and Fellowship.
The group 2010 After leaving the airport morning tea was provided by the ladies of our club at Hadspen. From there we travelled to Pearns Steamworld at Westbury where a visit back in time, unfortunately most of us can still remember most of the items on display. AS lunch time approached we visited some beautiful gardens and enjoyed meal and view. Our next stop was the town of Railton with an impressive topiary display. Finally we arrived at Sheffield, the town of murals. After viewing the impressive mural displays in the town it was off to our accommodation and a short break before dinner which was a most interesting night with much entertainment organised by Judy and Sue. After breakfast the next morning we travelled to the town of Lower Crackpot (postcode 7306) where an interesting time was spent in Tasmazia. From there we travelled to the Axeman's Hall of Fame at Latrobe for a guided tour and lunch. After lunch it was on to the nearby Anvers Chocolate Factory for an indulgance in chocolate and icecream. Our next stop was Ashgrove Cheese for a cheese tasting experience. Unfortunately our next stop was the Launceston Airport on Sunday night to say farewell to the mainlanders. What a great weekend, with planning for our trip in 2011 to the mainland - we are all looking forward to the next experience.
